The latest statistics of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development-The situation of harmless treatment plants and sewage treatment plants nationwide

On December 31, 2020, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development released the "2019 Urban Construction Statistical Yearbook" and "2019 Urban and Rural Construction Statistical Yearbook" and announced the national domestic waste and sewage treatment situation.

1.       The situation of domestic garbage

As of the end of 2019, there were 1,183 harmless treatment plants (plants) for urban domestic waste, including 390 waste incineration plants. Guangdong ranked first with 48 waste incineration plants. The innocuous treatment capacity of domestic garbage is 869,875 tons/day, and the incineration capacity is 457,639 tons/day.

As of the end of 2019, there were 1,378 innocuous treatment plants (plants) for domestic waste in counties across the country, with a domestic waste treatment capacity of 246,729 tons per day, and a total of 66,097,800 tons.

2.       Sewage treatment related situation

As of the end of 2019, the annual discharge of urban sewage in my country was 55,464.74 million cubic meters. There were 2,471 sewage treatment plants with a daily treatment capacity of 178.63 million cubic meters. The annual sewage treatment volume was 52,584,993,900 cubic meters, and the sewage treatment rate was 96.81%.

In 2019, the annual sewage discharge of counties nationwide was 10.23 billion cubic meters, and there were 1,669 sewage treatment plants with a processing capacity of 35.87 million cubic meters per day. The total annual sewage treatment volume was 9.501 billion cubic meters, and the sewage treatment rate reached 93.55%.
