    01. Are tank sludge and grease trap residue hazardous waste?

    According to the national hazardous waste list, the oil sludge produced by mineral oil tank sludge and oil-water separation facilities is hazardous waste.

     

    02. Are Ni-MH batteries hazardous waste?

    The National Hazardous Waste List stipulates that discarded lead-acid batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, and mercury oxide batteries are hazardous wastes. Ni-MH batteries are not included for the time being.

     

    03. Is an undisassembled piece of used circuit board a hazardous waste?

    Waste circuit boards (including waste circuit boards with or without dismantling components), as well as waste CPUs, graphics cards, sound cards, memory, capacitors containing electrolytes, and connectors containing precious metals such as gold generated during the dismantling process of waste circuit boards are all hazardous wastes.

     

    04. Is the insulation cotton made of aluminum silicate and glass wool a hazardous waste?

    06. Should stainless steel electric furnace steelmaking dust removal ash be included in HW21 or HW23?

    The dust removal ash of stainless steel is mainly containing zinc, so it should be classified as HW23.

     

    07. Is oily effluent from ships at sea hazardous waste?

    The oily wastewater of the ship shall be handed over to the corresponding treatment facilities of the terminal for treatment according to the regulations. The waste mineral oil produced by the sewage treatment facilities at the wharf is a hazardous waste and must be handed over to a qualified unit for disposal.

     

    08. Is the acid in a waste lead-acid battery managed as waste acid or leaded waste?

    The HW31 lead-containing waste in the National Hazardous Waste List clarifies that the waste lead batteries, waste lead paste and acid generated in the dismantling process of waste lead batteries in non-specific industries belong to HW31.

     

    09. Are scrap copper wire and waste grater containing cutting fluid hazardous waste?

    Waste cutting fluid is listed in the "National Hazardous Waste List", the waste category is HW09, and the hazard characteristic is toxicity. Scrap copper wire and waste grater mixed with cutting fluid should be managed in accordance with hazardous waste.

     

    10. "Waste lye produced by cooking and pulping in the alkali pulping process" refers to papermaking black liquor or white liquor?

    The black liquor and white liquor produced by alkali method (caustic soda method and sulfate method) cooking and pulping are waste lye.

     

    11. Are stretch pastes and discarded drums from cleaning machines hazardous waste?

    The stretching oil and stretch paste produced by the cleaning machine are hazardous wastes. Waste packaging barrels generated after the use of stretch oil and stretch paste are hazardous waste..

     

    12. Is the waste scraps produced by injection molding of unsaturated polyester resin hazardous waste?

    The waste scraps produced by the heat curing of the unsaturated polyester resin kneading molding material by the injection molding machine (temperature of about 100°C) are not hazardous waste.
