China will basically achieve the "zero landfill" of native domestic garbage by 2023

Recently, National Development and Reform Commission with other three departments jointly issued the implementation plan on strengthening the weak points of urban household garbage. China will take a series of measures to strengthen the weak points of urban household garbage classification and treatment facilities. In terms of garbage incineration treatment, in areas where the daily clearance volume of domestic garbage exceeds 300 tons, we will accelerate the development of garbage incineration as the main treatment method, and basically realize the "zero landfill" of native domestic garbage by 2023.
