Lectures entitled “Sustainable Biowaste Management and Waste to Energy in Developing Countries” and “Plastic and Microplastics: Issues, Challenges, and Initiatives” by Prof. Agamutu Pariatamby
Prof. Agamutu Pariatamby, as a visiting Professor, presented invited online lectures for graduated students at Zhejiang University of Technology on Dec. 7 and 9, 2021. The lectures, entitled “Sustainable Biowaste Management and Waste to Energy in Developing Countries” and “Plastic and Microplastics: Issues, Challenges, and Initiatives”, demonstrated new avenues for sustainable waste treatment in the developing countries, which received positive feedback from the students.
Prof. Agamutu Pariatamby is a board member of the International Consultant Committee of Waste to Energy (ICCWtE), the dean of the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences at Sunway University. He is Vice-President/International Advisory Board Member –Society of Solid Waste Management Experts in Asia and Pacific Islands (SWAPI), Fellow in Academy of Sciences Malaysia, Senior Editor in Chief of Waste Management & Research.
