Congratulations! Prof. Mika has been elected as a chairperson of the International Standardization Task Committee 300 (ISO/TC 300) Solid recovered materials

Prof. Mika was selected as a chairperson of the International Standardization Task Committee 300 (ISO/TC 300) Solid recovered materials, including solid recovered fuels in the annual plenary meeting of last autumn.

The scope of the committee is standardization of solid recovered materials, including solid recovered fuels, from non-hazardous waste for the purpose of utilisation (recovery and recycling) in a following process. The scope covers the material from the point of acceptance to the point of delivery into the next stage of processing. The task of the chairperson is to chair the general meetings and co-operation between different working groups of the committee. There are currently 6 working groups, which are practically preparing the standards. The chair position is valid until end of 2027.
