The progressive conference of the National Key Research and Development Project of China (High-efficiency gasification of organic solid wastes and in-depth product utilization technology and equipmen
On May 28th, 2022, the progressive conference of the National Key Research and Development Project of China (High-efficiency gasification of organic solid wastes and in-depth product utilization technology and equipment) was successfully held online. In this project, different thermal conversion technologies are being developed for different organic solid wastes. For example, for organic hazardous wastes, an integrated process of fluidized bed gasification-melting graded purification for high-purity hydrogen production is being developed.
Guest experts of this forum were Prof. Longlong Ma from Southeast University, Prof. Guangwen Xu from Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, Prof. Guanyi Chen from Tianjin University of Commerce, Prof. Shaozeng Sun from Harbin Institute of Technology, Prof. Shurong Wang from Zhejiang University, Prof. Yufeng Wu from Beijing University of Technology, Prof. Yu Qiao from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Prof. Haoran Yuan from Guangzhou Institute of Energy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Rui Xiao from Southeast University. In addition, more than 50 participants ranged from universities and research institutions to industrialized corporations were in attendance.
The progressive conference was presided by Prof. Longlong Ma. Then the progress in the last six months of each subject was reported by the corresponding subject leader. After that, the experts gave constructive comments and suggestions to further promote the development of this project. In general, this project achieved some new technologies and put forward many valuable innovation points, such as the specific application of different kinds of solid organic wastes. Besides, the experts also pointed out some problems and difficulties that needed to be solved. The person in charge of each project should speed up the research of this project, especially the construction and development of the demonstration project. Also, they suggested that leaders of subjects should improve the completed tasks to make the results more representative.
This conference effectively checked the progress and implementation of the project and subject. More importantly, the shortcomings during the project implementation were found in time and the corresponding solutions were put forward. In addition, the next step of the research direction and key point was raised up, which played a positive role in promoting the successful completion of the project.
