In June this year, Yale University in the United States published a book About Architecture, which included 55 of the most representative buildings in the history of global architecture, including the Shenneng environmental protection Longgang energy Ecological Park, the Sydney Opera House, CCTV Oriental Gate and other famous buildings.
“About Architecture” is divided into 11 sectors, including transportation, museum, theater, religion, retail, garden and industry. Longgang Energy Ecological Park is the only selected building in China's industrial and global environmental protection industries, indicating the unique characteristics and demonstration effect of Longgang Energy Ecological Park's design and concept in the world.
Shenneng Environmental Protection Longgang Energy Ecological Park is a major livelihood project in Shenzhen. It is located in Sifang Pu Community, Pingdi Street, Longgang District, with a construction scale of 5,000 tons of domestic waste per day. It was put into operation on December 31, 2019, and has undertaken nearly a quarter of the domestic waste treatment tasks in Shenzhen, a mega-city.
In 2022, the project won a number of honors such as the National High Quality Engineering Gold Medal and the China Steel Structure Gold Medal. The design concept of the plant is "Environmental Valley and energy core", which means that the project will not only provide energy for the production and life of the city, but also provide spiritual energy for the society, community and residents through the natural and environmental protection development concept, and become the "energy core" in the "environmental Valley".
As a large waste power plant in China, in order to make the project with environmental protection and scientific and technological characteristics, the design of the project construction scheme adopted the global bidding method, and finally decided to adopt the circular permeable envelope building appearance scheme. The scheme is simple, clean and extremely iconic. Combined with the shape of the local Hakka enclosure house in Longgang District, it breaks the rectangular industrial shape of the traditional waste power plant and integrates it into a simple circular structure, which not only demonstrates the concept of environmental protection, but also integrates into the natural ecology, symbolizing the circulation of resources and energy regeneration.
With the theme of "One Step, One Environment, One World, Light and Shadow painting," Longgang Energy Ecological Park supports the construction of Lianying Digital Art Museum, carries out popular science education activities for the society, and realizes the transformation of solid waste treatment project into a landmark and neighborly new municipal facility model.
In the future, Shenneng Environmental Protection will deeply practice the concept of "building a factory, but also a park", constantly improve the soft power of waste disposal benchmarking, create a bright business card of the environmental protection industry, realize "being neighbors with nature and partners with residents", and help the construction of "waste free city" and the high-quality development of green, low-carbon, ecological and environmental protection industries.
