  • Wison Engineering Signs FEED Contract for Turkey's First Biogas to Green Alcohol Project

    On 19th March, the signing ceremony of FEED contract for ITC-WasteFuel Green Methanol Project in Ankara, Turkey was held at Wison Engineering Shanghai Headquarters.


    It is understood that ITC-WasteFuel Turkey Green Methanol Project plans to produce green methanol using biogas generated from ITC's waste treatment facility in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. This is the first biogas-to-methanol project in Turkey, and Wison Engineering, as a leading global energy and chemical EPC service provider, will provide FEED design services for the project.



    Mr David Trench, CEO of WasteFuel, Mr Johan Fritz, Global Project Director of WasteFuel, Mr Yavuz Kantur, General Manager of ITC Turkey, the co-investor of the project, Mr Zhou Hongliang, Chief Executive Officer of Wison Engineering, Mr Qi Guosheng, Senior Vice President, Mr Yuan Jun, Senior Vice President, Mr Li Dun, CFO, CTO Mr Liu Hengwei and the marketing team attended the signing ceremony.



    At the signing ceremony, both parties expressed their warm congratulations on the successful signing of the contract and looked forward to the continued cooperation in the future. Mr David Trench, CEO of WasteFuel, said, "The next phase of the project development is very important, and we are very pleased to have chosen Wison Engineering as our partner. We believe that with the joint efforts of both parties, the project will become a global model for green methanol production."

    Mr Yavuz Kantur, General Manager of ITC Turkey, said, "This project is not only about delivering low-carbon energy, but also about the innovative use of our 1.8 million tonnes of municipal waste per year in Ankara.     The successful signing of the FEED contract for ITC-WasteFuel's Green Methanol Project in Ankara, Turkey, marks a substantial step forward for the project. As a low-carbon and renewable fuel, the application of green methanol will effectively reduce the carbon footprint of the shipping industry and help transform the energy structure towards sustainability.
